"Beloved"
"Beloved" the Chihuahua weighed a mere three pounds when we rescued her with Oprah's team of investigators. She needed to have the knees on both back legs reconstructed. Barely able to walk properly, she stood on chicken wire in a tiny box for years, producing puppy after puppy. Since this is a genetic disorder, we can't help but wonder how many of her puppies, sold in pet stores, have had the same orthopedic problems.
